4 out of 5 hospitality professionals report having experienced at least one mental health issue during their career.
The current reality is that a large proportion of the hospitality community has, or will, experience a mental health issue as a direct result of chronic stress, stigma and lack of support.
In worst case scenarios this can also lead to loss of life with hospitality having one of the highest rates of suicide against other professions.
We have to change that. The Burnt Chef Project is a globally recognised not-for-profit Social Enterprise and we are fully committed to making the hospitality profession healthier and more sustainable by focusing on people's wellbeing first by providing free supporting structures, awareness campaigns supported by market-leading training and education.

Steps for Chefs
Tuesday 22nd Jul The team at Rudy's Ancoats want to celebrate their incredible achievement of producing 1000 pizzas in a day by taking part in a steps challenge fundraiser. We recognise the strengths and efforts from our chefs so collaborating with The Burnt Chef Project who encourage connection within the hospitality industry seemed fitting. Team members will compete against one another in teams for highest amount of steps completed over the month of August and will be encouraged to get outside and get moving out of work hours with their fellow colleagues! We all recognise that movement is good for our mental health and so is communicating with each other. Let's break down the mental health stigma one step at a time. ShareThank you to my Sponsors
