I'm fundraising for the future of hospitality.

I'm raising money for The Burnt Chef Project and need your help!

4 out of hospitality professionals report having experienced at least one mental health issue during their career.

The current reality is that a large proportion of the hospitality community has, or will, experience a mental health issue as a direct result of chronic stress, stigma and lack of support.

In worst case scenarios this can also lead to loss of life with hospitality having one of the highest rates of suicide against other professions.

We have to change that. The Burnt Chef Project is a globally recognised not-for-profit Social Enterprise and we are fully committed to making the hospitality profession healthier and more sustainable by focusing on people's wellbeing first by providing free supporting structures, awareness campaigns supported by market-leading training and education.

Why I’m doing this.

Sunday 15th Sep
Because I feel I need to,  I’ve lost quite a few fellow chefs over the years, seen many struggle including myself at various points during my career.

I have had one old friend take his own life very recently which honestly is devastating, although recently he wasn’t in hospitality that is how I met him and ultimately the sad news of his passing is what’s pushed me to do this fundraiser.

I chose TBCP because I know they are actively on a daily basis helping people and trying to make the industry better, I’ve been a chef for 24 years all over the world with a large network or chefs and any I’ve spoken to have high praise for the work TBCP do.
