Going the extra Mile - the weight we all carry
At Marstons, we are raising money for The Burnt Chef Project, an organisation set up to tackle mental health stigma in the hospitality industry. It's something very close to our hearts.
In the Mighty Midlands, we're looking to make a huge difference to this charity.
Your mental health is something you carry with you day to day, and no one can know the weight you carry. So for the Month of September, I'll be carrying my weight with me, wherever I go in Marstons. I will share the weight where I can, knowing that many keep it to themselves at their own cost.
Just over 12% of men in the UK are known to suffer with their mental health, with many more struggling in silence. So I'll be carrying 12kg with me wherever I go.
Every penny counts for this charity, let's make a difference!

Our mental health is the weight we all carry around with us. For some its light, for others it can be very heavy. When we ask for help, we can share that weight with the support of our friends, colleagues and loved ones.
Last week was the first week of my Marston's Mile, where every mile I do for Marstons, I bring with me the weight of mental health.
Just over 12% of Men in the UK have reported having a mental health condition. So I will be carrying 12kg everywhere I go for Marstons.
Thank you to the wonderful people that have shared my weight. We talked about this at the highest level this past week, and you can see all the amazing support.
