Jack’s 30 for 30

By Jack Kellett Join Me

I'm fundraising for the future of hospitality.

Hello again,

Firstly I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to everyone who donated on my last run we exceeded the amount I wanted to hit and for that I’m so grateful.

Where to begin.

After I finished my last run for TBCP I was on cloud nine, I felt great and life made sense again, then before I knew it, I was back to my old ways and it started taking a serious toll on my mental health and my life in and out the kitchen, I was lost, angry and I had pretty much given up on ever staying clean again. And then Christmas came along, a time many people in hospitality dread, and it hit me like a train, before I knew it or could even realise I was out of control, I nearly lost everything I hold dear in life, and I’ll be honest it broke me. I spent the majority of our Christmas break on a couch in and out of consciousness, my flat, my life, my head was a mess, and anyone who knows me knows how clean and organised I like to be. I didn’t recognise the man on the couch, I hated myself. Then the 2nd of January came around and it was nearly time to get my shit together as I was going back to work. I was anxious and afraid, I didn’t want people to worry, but of course they did. That’s when I said fuck it, not this year, I’m 30 this year and I want to start my new decade on a new level and I intend to maintain that level.

So on the 11th of August 2025 I will be running 30 miles from my flat in Sudbury too my childhood home, I think it’s sentimental and even more so that I’m doing it a day before my 30th birthday. And doing it for a charity dear to me TBCP.

I appreciate everyone’s love and support, a big thank you to all my friends and family, and I look forward to seeing them all at the finish line.
