I'm fundraising for the future of hospitality.
Climbing Kilimanjaro for Mental Health in Hospitality
The hospitality industry thrives on passion, hard work, and long hours. But behind the scenes, 4 out of 5 hospitality professionals have experienced mental health struggles. That needs to change.
I’m taking on the challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to raise funds for The Burnt Chef Project, a cause dedicated to breaking the stigma around mental health in hospitality and providing vital support for those who need it.
Why This Matters
Mental health is something incredibly close to my heart, both personally and professionally. I’ve spent 15 years in hospitality and have seen firsthand how tough it can be. I’ve also faced my own challenges, which is why I believe talking about mental health should be as normal as talking about physical health.
The Burnt Chef Project is making a real difference:
🧠 £80 ($100) provides therapy for one person through their global Employee Assistance Programme.
📚 £400 ($480) funds mental health and stress reduction training for students, equipping the next generation of hospitality professionals.
🤝 £158 ($180) trains a volunteer in peer support to help those struggling with mental health issues.

My Updates

Another Step Towards Kilimanjaro! 🏃♂️⛰️
Wednesday 5th MarTraining for Mount Kilimanjaro isn’t just about the big climb—it’s about pushing myself every step of the way. That’s why I’ve signed up for the Vitality Bournemouth Bay Run 2025 on March 23rd!
Running has never really been my thing, but I know that building endurance and mental resilience will be key for the challenge ahead. This race is a big milestone in my training, helping me prepare for long days on the mountain while keeping me focused on my ultimate goal—raising awareness and funds for The Burnt Chef Project.
Why Am I Doing This?
4 out of 5 hospitality professionals experience mental health struggles. The Burnt Chef Project is working to change that by offering therapy, training, and support to those who need it most. I’m climbing Kilimanjaro to help raise funds for this incredible cause, and this run is just one part of the journey.
